3.29.24. SITE UPDATES APLENTY
Alright the flexboxes worked on desktop (kind of) but not mobile and I do want my site to be mostly mobile compatabile, so I've removed it and put the navigation back at the top of the page. I have some PLANS for the site which I'll try to get done by Sunday. I did archive my web design final project (you can find it in the Cool Websites section under The Downfall of Jenine Dragonmonger) and my furby history project (in the navigation of my home page). Hopefully I will keep adding to the Furby history page, I had a lot more to add when I was making it but it was just a two day skills check assignment.

Sadly, I am removing the Orange Juice sacrificing-people-for-internet-clout storyline from my home page. I'll archive it here in the form of screenshots so you can still admire it, but I can't find a good way to work it into my vision for the site in the future. But in good news, I'm going to update the art gallery and memes pages! I'm also going to add some new stuff to the home page, like websites I like and stuff, and I'm going to replace the blinkies and some of the other gifs with still images or slow moving gifs for accesability.

1.26.24. Flexboxes!
Just learned about flex boxes in class so i attempted to put it in my homepage it worked? kind of?? it broke the lower half of my page and the fish got out of hand no idea how that happened so

1.3.24. New year updates!
Happy new year! I'm looking forward to the year a lot, since I graduate and start collage and such. About the site progress, I've started the furby page and I have about half of the furby profiles written out. I'll write them all before making little css divs custom for each of them. I've optimized my art gallery! I put screenshots of the files in the page itself so it should load just fine now, and they all link to a higher quality image.

12.18.23. Update!
Memes page is fixed! It looks mostly the same as it did before, but i added a nice header and border. I will be adding new memes because it's been a while. I'll also be fixing some of the possible loading issues with the images. I'm working on the gallery right now- I got the CSS for it from somewhere online and it works so I don't feel like redoing it since I understand how it works now. I'm just editing the borders a little, fixing up the header and navigation sections, and fixing the loading image problems. I have some really big files on there so I'll make them smaller on the page, but link them to a higher quality version when clicked.

12/16/23. Blog updated!
My blog is now updated! I kept all the colors the same but got rid of the weird boxes that I was using before, since they were kinda broken. I also made the header and navigation all nice. the stylesheet for the paragraph styles isn't connecting for some reason (it works with the links idk why) so i just put it in the blog styles instead. i couldn't really decide on the header/nav colors so i considered making them change colors every time someone opens the page but i don't know how to use javascript right now so maybe i'll figure that out later. ok now i have to get ready for work bye

12/15/23. Website update!
You may have noticed that 90% of my images are broken and that my home page is looking funky! At time of writing I just have finished up the new header and am working on the navigation section. I've deleted all the embedded styles and am using the css stylesheet to style my pages instead. My goal is to make my website look a bit more coherent but still have each page look unique with its own little vibe or color scheme. I'm keeping the general insanity of it all but it'll look a whole lot nicer!! I'm also working on my own little graphics and buttons. I'm having a lot of fun with Online Image Editor which i'm using to make my own blinkies and buttons and stuff. I'll add a little section in my site about how people are allowed to reuse them.
Anyway it's almost christmas! I had my work secret santa which went really well (I crocheted a little cow for my coworker). I've decided that i'm going to go to UWM for collage and I already have $1000 in scholarships, free tuition, and got into the honors collage. my friends are having a cookie party on the 23rd that i'm looking forward to!! i'm going to make chocolate ganache thumbprint cookies.

12/1/23. new trimester!
I'm in my web design class right now because I finished all my assignments lol. it's pretty cool because we're learning HTML and CSS in this class which is great for me because I want to make my site look a little better! it's beautiful right now but it is pretty janky and could use great improvment. you may have noticed that I learned \br\ and have applied it to my blog already! if this is your first time visiting it used to all be whole chunks of text. maybe i'll be able to fix my weird box issues. I'll also be adding a little archive of my web design site to my neocities! As soon as I figure out how to fix my buttons. It's a barebones text page from the perspective of a deranged wizard avoiding arrest for selling illegal dragon liver right now.
Anyway I also have a secret santa at work and I have to investigate because I do not know the person i have at all. We've worked together a lot but she doesn't talk barely at all so hopeing we work together this weekend! If not i'll just text and ask some questions under the guise of a random survey or something.

11/7/23. collage applications finished!
All I have to do now is wait! First trimester of school is almost over, which is crazy. I kind of forgot about this site but I remembered because some of my friends and i were getting into Spacehey and exploring all the fun old web graphics and things. I added Sherb! here's the link if you want a Sherb on your page: [GIFYPET!]. I WILL finish my furby page soon I promise. One of my classes next tri is web design so I can Use that.. anyway School is going pretty good. Halloween was fun! I was Beelzebub from Good Omens and my friend was a resident (eyeball tuxedo top hat guy) and her costume was so friking cool. This was our last halloween together as kids and i had fun
I am sooo excited for collage. I know i might come off as kidish from the outside (because i like fun and adults don't apparently) but i am READY. hoping that I get into UW Madison because my tuition would be free! My 2 weeks at MIAD this summer taught me a lot and obviously whatever public university i go to isn't going to be the same as a private art school but I have a better idea of what to expect!!

9/4/23. update!
WELL! first of all the normal priced furby did go back in stock and i GOT IT! I'll put a pic of her on the furby page when I get that finished, but I am proud to now hold the title of third person to customize a 2023 furby, something that pretty much only matters to me. anyway school starts TOMARROW. wow! since my last post I almost sliced my fingertip off at work, went to summer art precollage which was awesome (if you want to read about that i made a journal about it on my deviantart), customized my furby, started a new custom doll, and started working on a webcomic! I'm making a seperate neocities site for the comic so I will link that here and also on my home page when I finish the site and start posting the pages :D. I'm excited for school this year because it's my senior year and I only need a few more credits to gradate. Instead of graduating early I decided the more fun thing to do was to take a bunch of fun/useful class, and I also have a lot of free time! pretty hyped :D

it's being sold by some other peolpe for $93 when it was supposed to have been released for $69. hhhhhhhh IM SO SAD ABOUT THIS i was really looking forward to getting the new furb... welp i'll just wait until it's in stock for $69 agian or when its in stores irl.

6/25/23. WHAT A DAY!
ALRIGHT. First of all, last night my dad's cool cousin and her bf came to stay at our secret evil lair so that was super fun. They liked my furbies ):D. This morning, I accidentally got to work late because I didn't know I was sceduled- the new scedule had been sent in the group chat but I hadn't been added yet. I was on drinks, which is my fav station because it's the most fun. There was One coffeesplosion and i made a pun about straws. I love being a really content person. I just felt really satisfied by the time I left. I came home and discovered I can buy the new furby JUST with the tips I made this weekend!! People tip really well at my work (it's just a local coffe/bagel/breakfast shop), everyone gets a plastic cup they can decorate and gets equal tips. I just really like my job. everyone's so nice mannnn... Anyway I'm working on Asparagus, my newst furby!! I tried to paint a Monet Water Lilies inspired thing, which was difficult on such a tiny space but I like how it came out! Asparagus is a quiet and chill fairy furby and they're tired all the time. I feel like Monet fits their vibe. I'm going to give them one sparkley eye and keep one of their brown eyes, because i love how pretty the brown eyes are but I also want pretty custom eyes. I'll post a picture of them when their finished on the Furby page (I have to work on that too), and maybe some WIP pics on here later.

6/23/23. NEW FURBY JUST DROPPED!!
We (the furby fandom) heard rumors of a new furby in the works at Hasbro, and eventually some prototypes got online but were dismissed as furby fakes. But actually they were the new 2023 furbies!! (See Below) So far, from what I've seen, the furby fandom is generally accepting of it, with critiques on the design. I personally really like the design. I think, as a modern Hasbro sparkly little girls toy interpetation of the 1999 furby, this is the best we could've gotten. The eyes may be obnoxious, the beak doesn't move, but it's cute and I kind of love it. What's most interesting is that, according to the USA today article about them, Hasbro is trying to market this furby to both little kids and nostolgic adults. I'm not sure if they're suceeding with normal adults, but they're specifically trying to appeal to the furby fandom. One of the promo images shows the purple furby wearing a little beaded plastic necklace- it comes with it's own kandi. If you're unaware, it's a tradition in the furby fandom to give your furbies kandi. Furthermore, this is just a rumor and idk where the source is from, but they might be making an official long furby- the mascot oddbody of the furby fandom. In conclusion, whereas the previous furby, the furby connect, tried doing a whole new thing playing into the alien side of furbies, the 2023 furby is really just a sparkly modern interpetation of the 1999 furby and i love it. I will be getting one as soon as the price goes down from $69.99

6/22/23. becoming a gamer.
Yesterday I stole my sibling's switch to play Zelda Breath Of The Wild and it's SO fun. also I love Link. He's so silly. I've made good progress but I'm stuck trying to hunt this stupid pig to get raw meat to make this old man some food so he'll give me a coat so I can get the the mountains without dying of hypothermia. It keeps running away and then actually vanishing. Idk if it totally despawns or if it just turns invisable or what. I'll look it up to see if there's any good strategy for killing it. I also like hitting the old man with an axe, and a torch, and a hammer, and setting him on fire, and dropping metal blocks on his head, and waking him up over and over to let him know I cooked something. Who is the old man, why is he invincable, and why is he omnipotent?? Why does he just let me pick up his pots, run outside, and break them directly in front of him? He seemed alarmed, but overall just fine with it.

6/20/23. UHHHGGGGGGG
Ok I tried sorting all my little neocities files into folders because I like organization. I did NOT know that if things aren't in the same folder they can't really interact with each other and my pages were broken now. I couldn't figure out how to get them out of the folder outside of deleteding them. SO i panicked and made some copies of my pages in the home folder. then i realized all I had to do was delete the little directory thing in the name of each file. so NOW i have TWO COPIES of each of my pages. at least I know how to free my images but this is annoying lol.

6/19/23. front page basically done!
All I have left to do for it is turn the orange juice sketch pic into some crappy pixel art real quick, which i might do tomarrow morning as a nice art warm up. i always wake up at like 5 so even when i have a busy day i have time to draw. tomarrow my parents will be at work all day so my sibling and i are going to the mall and then we're going to film my 100 sub special for youtube! its a pretty ironic thing, i just feel like it's something I should make because I dreamed of this very day back in 4th grade. I'm also planning on getting a lavender vanilla shaker coffee from my work tomarrow, bc I don't work 2marrow but whenever i've made one I always open the shaker thing and it smells so good. Back to future site plans, I'm going to make little pixel art drawings and biographgies of each of my furbies for the furby page, figure out how to organize my art gallery page, and just now I've set up some cool thingies so my blog posts will end up being in rainbow order! it feels very refreshing to have this site be comepletely whatever I want it to be, and to build it myself. On my social medias I post about whatever I want, but this is different and I like it a lot. going to sleep now!

wow! I'm having lots of fun coding rn. I learned a bit of python in school but this is my first time using CSS (obviously). I showed my dad the site so far and he showed me some of the websites he coded back in the 2000s with the waybackmachine so that was really cool. anyway i just tried to put this paragraph in a border but it broke somehow and i'm not sure how. i am going to go to sleep and figure it out tomarrow.
